Heading to Fraser Island - April 13, 2011
We are headed out of Noosa and taking the Greyhound Australia to Hervey Bay, where tomorrow we will head to Fraser Island (World Heritage site). We are excited about 4x4ing and camping on the island, and for the next few days we will be roughing it! After Fraser Island we will be sailing through the Whitsundays. We're excited to see the Great Barrier Reef and Whitehaven Beach!
A few more weeks here in Oz and then we will be headed to New Zealand! We are a little nervous about renting our campervan and driving up the coast because we don't have that much time. I'm also getting nervous about skydiving. I keep thinking of what a friend said to me .. behind fear there is freedom! We will see what happens when we get there!
We went surfing yesterday and I had a blast at that. I caught a lot of waves and my surf instructor even said I'm that best he's had in awhile. What can you say, I'm a natural athlete!
My time is about to run out, so I will leave you with this. I hope you are all doing well!

Message from Melbourne - April 4, 2011
It is 9:29 pm on Tuesday night. Jacob and I just returned to our hotel from a very long day. We spent all day touring the Great Ocean Road. It was gorgeous! It was a dream of mine to visit the 12 Apostles and Jacob and I had the opportunity to fly in a helicopter ocer the 12 Apostles :) It was fantastic! It still feels so surreal to be in Australia, but we are adjusting. We spent last night with a few friends and went for dinner and then visited the Eureka Sky Deck that has 90 floors and an observatory ontop. The city of Melbourne is gorgeous. We have seen the Royal Botanical Gardens as well as Federation Square, and the South Bank.
Tomorrow we will be headed to Sydney. We are looking forward to seeing the well known sights in the wonderful city. We are staying roughly 4 days and then making our way up the coast to Brisbane.
We had gorgeous weather today, so we are looking forward to more once we make our way up the Coast.
