Starting April 30, 2012, Canadian citizens, including infants and children, will be required to present a valid passport to visit the Dominican Republic, which will need to be valid for the length of their stay. 

It is also essential that you examine your passport well before the travel date to ensure that it is not damaged in any way.  Passport with even minor damage may be rejected resulting in denied boarding and possible forfeiture of your holiday.
